According to this Times Article, men gain an average 14 pounds during pregnancies. Needless to say that’s not baby weight, but excessive snacks and junk food. I tend to munch on junk food more often than I should, but I’m not sure if it’s more than I did before. I don’t think so, but when I stepped on the scale it seems like I gained maybe a pound or two. This is probably due more to exercising less frequently more than eating too much.

I’m also fortunate that Randall hasn’t had the cravings often associated with pregnancies. No midnight 24-hour diner runs or stockpiling of ice cream and chocolate. I’m sure if she did have those cravings I’d be looking at more than a couple pounds gain!

Randall has remained surprisingly trim. She looks like she swallowed a basketball, but the rest of her body is about the same. Lucky for both of us it seems.
